Iknoor Kour of DPS clinches victory in Women’s final at district Table Tennis Championship

Jammu,Sept 4: Iknoor Kour, a XII-F student from Delhi Public School (DPS) Jammu, has brought immense pride to the school and her parents by emerging as the champion in the 46th Jammu District Table Tennis Championship. This prestigious event, organized by the Jammu District Table Tennis Association, took place from August 25 to August 28, 2023, at M.A Stadium, Jammu.
In a thrilling final match, Iknoor Kour displayed her exceptional table tennis skills, defeating her opponent, Mishti Aggarwal, with a convincing score of three games to nil. Her remarkable victory is a testament to her dedication and talent in the sport.
Iknoor Kour’s achievement was not the only shining moment for DPS Jammu in this championship. Several other talented students also made their mark:
Aleena Arora (IV-J) secured the 1st prize in the U-11 category and the 2nd prize in the U-13 category. Ahaan Gupta (V-K) emerged as the 1st prize winner in the U-11 category. Gourav Singh (IX-B) claimed the 1st prize in the U-15 category. Smarth Nischal (IX-E) showcased his skills and earned the 2nd prize in the U-15 category.
Mishthi Aggarwal (XI-F) achieved the 1st prize in the U-17 category.
Furthermore, DPS Jammu also recognized the efforts of other participants by awarding consolation prizes to Satyam Nischal (VIII-F), Ridhimi Gupta (V-J), Aarav Mahajan (VII-B), and Jasraj Singh (IX-I).
The esteemed management of DPS Jammu, including Hon’ble President-RCT Sh. M.K Ajatshatru Singh Ji, Hon’ble PVC-Dr. Kuwarani Ritu Singh Ji, and Hon’ble Director-Sh. S.S Sodhi Ji, along with Principal Ms. Ruchi Chabra, extended their heartfelt congratulations to all the winners and their proud parents. They also acknowledged the invaluable support and guidance provided by coach Ms. Meenu Ragesh.
Headmistress Ms. Meenu Gupta added her praises, highlighting the dedication and determination displayed by the students in excelling at the championship.
