SAMBA, Sept 9: A significant meeting was held under the leadership of District Collector (Deputy Commissioner) Samba, Abhishek Sharma to decide on compensation rates for land acquired through the Collector's Land Acquisition program in the district.
The Assistant Commissioner Revenue Samba, who oversees land acquisition in Samba, presented two important cases for discussion: FOP-I and Wholeback. These cases were located in the Galar revenue village and Galar/Chak Warkha, respectively, within Tehsil & District Samba. Another crucial case related to the expansion of the National Highway in the village of Katli was also submitted by the Land Acquisition Section. These cases were examined in detail during the meeting.
Following a thorough discussion and examination of all pertinent aspects, the rates of compensation for land acquisition were successfully finalized. The District Collector Samba emphasized the importance of timely completion of land acquisition proceedings for all pending cases to prevent undue delays. Furthermore, directive was issued to expedite the disbursal of pending compensation for all acquisition cases, prioritizing this task for swift resolution.
The meeting witnessed the participation of key revenue officers, including ADC Samba, ACR Samba, SDM Ghagwal, Vijaypur, and other revenue officials from relevant sections. |
