Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Sept 25: Government Degree College Neeli Nallah, Udhampur, took a proactive step towards promoting road safety by organizing an Awareness Rally on September 26, 2023, as part of the Red Cross initiative. The event was conducted under the able guidance of Prof. Hans Raj, the esteemed Principal of the college.
Prof. Hans Raj, the Principal, ceremoniously flagged off the rally from the college premises. In his address, he emphasized the paramount importance of road safety measures, highlighting that they play a pivotal role in saving lives. He took the opportunity to apprise the students about traffic rules and urged them to conscientiously adhere to these rules for the safety and well-being of all.
The rally commenced from the college premises and wove its way through Neeli Nallah-Bal Nagar Bazar, spreading awareness among the masses. Students passionately chanted slogans such as "Don't Drink, Don't Drive, Safe Drive, Save Life" and "Nazar Hatti, Durghatna Gatti" to reinforce the significance of responsible road behavior.
The rally was executed seamlessly under the supervision of Prof. Swati Dutt and Dr. Radha Rani, who ensured that the message of road safety reached as many people as possible.
The event saw the presence and support of Dr. Kumari Mahima Bhagat, Pardeep Kumar, Swati Sharma, and Muntazir Ahmed Bhat, who joined the rally to encourage and promote the cause of road safety.
GDC Neeli Nallah's initiative to raise awareness about road safety measures is not only commendable but also aligns with the broader mission of ensuring safer roads and reducing accidents in the region.
