Jammu, Oct 13: An awareness Camp on HIV/AIDS, and Drug De-addiction were organized by HIMALYA SEWA SANG, Jammu today in Collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir AIDS Control Society, Department of Health and Medical Education at Rajeev Nagar, Jammu.
A large number of Youth Population attended the camp from nearby areas. The resource person Mr. S.K Sharma stressed upon the deadly consequences of HIV/AIDS Drug addiction. The modes of Transmission of HIV virus and the means of its prevention, treatment and control were thoroughly deliberated in the camp. The participants were advised to refrain from drugs. They were requested to urge the local population to go for CBS Testing on voluntary basis. The other speakers stressed upon the youth to get involved in the eradication of Drug menanance from the society. Those who participated in the camp included Vijay Sharma, Sachin, Rasheed Khan, Najam, Anish Kumar, Gagan deep, Rinku Singh, Sooraj Sharma, Bittu, Roshan, Jaggu, Raush Paul etc. |
