Traffic Advisory for Navratra Festival in Jammu

JAMMU, Oct 14: In light of the upcoming Holy Navratra festival celebrations at Kali Mata Mandir Bagh-e-Bahu and Kandoli Mata Nagrota in Jammu, the following traffic advisory is issued to ensure smooth traffic flow and minimize congestion on the approaching routes:
One-Way Traffic Towards Bagh-e-Bahu Temple: During the Navratra period from October 15, 2023, to October 23, 2023, there will be one-way vehicular traffic towards the Bagh-e-Bahu Temple. This one-way traffic arrangement is to keep the Bahu Fort Route free from obstructions. Vehicles will not be allowed to move towards Kali Mata Mandir Bagh-e-Bahu via Bahu Fort Road during this period.
Diversion at P/S Bagh-e-Bahu Crossing: P/S Bagh-e-Bahu crossing will be the diversion point. All vehicles (LMVs/PSVs) heading towards Bahu-Fort shall be diverted from P/S Bagh-e-Bahu Crossing towards Qasim Nagar. From there, the vehicles will further be diverted towards the Bye Pass Road NHW and Forest Check, and then towards Kali Mata Mandir.
No Entry for Heavy Vehicles (HMVs): During the Navratra days, heavy vehicles (HMVs) will not be allowed to enter from Bye-Pass Naka NHW (Sidhra road) towards Bagh-e-Bahu/Bahu-fort area.
Parking Arrangements: Devotees and the general public are advised to park their vehicles in specified parking slots only and avoid parking on either side of the road. Wrongly parked vehicles will be dealt with under the Motor Vehicles Act.

Cooperation Requested: The public in general and motorists, in particular, are requested to cooperate with the Traffic Police and avoid movement on the restricted routes during the religious program.

This traffic advisory is issued to ensure a safe and hassle-free experience for devotees during the Navratra Festival at Kali Mata Mandir Bagh-e-Bahu and Kandoli Mata Nagrota. Please adhere to the instructions and routes mentioned above to minimize congestion and maintain the sanctity of the religious event.
