GDC Darhal commemorates J&K UT Foundation Day with enthusiasm

JAMMU, Oct 30: The NSS Unit of Government Degree College Darhal enthusiastically celebrated Jammu and Kashmir UT Foundation Day, marking a significant occasion in the region's history.
To honor this day, a series of diverse programs were organized, including intra-college painting, videography, photography, and essay writing competitions, all revolving around the theme "Badalta Jammu Kashmir, Badhta Jammu and Kashmir - Aman aur Taraqqi ki Nayi Tasveer" (Changing Jammu and Kashmir - A New Picture of Peace and Progress). The event was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Mussaraf Hussain Shah, the Principal of Government Degree College Darhal.
The competition results were as follows:
In the painting competition, Hibza Tabassum secured the 1st prize, while Kashish Fatima and Mehr-un-Nisa claimed the 2nd and 3rd positions, respectively.
The videography competition saw Waqar Ahmed, Mahboob Sadeeq, and Aleena Anjum winning the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes, respectively.
For photography, Rabia Kosser, Ateeqa Anjum, and Sayra Jabeen were awarded the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions.
In the essay writing competition, Roheena Rayaz emerged as the 1st prize winner, followed by Hibza Tabassum in 2nd place and Aksa Kosser in 3rd place.
Prof. Mussaraf Shah expressed his appreciation for the organizing committee, which included Dr. Ahsan Ul Rehman, Dr. Mohd Akhlaq, Dr. Imtiaz Hussain Shah, Dr. Sunil Kumar Mangoch (NSS Programme Officer), Prof. Tahir Mahmood Qureshi, Dr. Mehwish Bukhari, and Dr. Mohd Riaz, for conducting an event with such a pertinent and engaging topic. He also acknowledged the valuable contributions of NSS volunteers Waqar Ahmed and Mahboob Sadeeq in organizing these remarkable programs.
