DPS Jammu students excel in CBSE North Zone-II Skating Championship

JAMMU, Oct 30: Two students from Delhi Public School Jammu, Saanvi Grover (VIII-B) and Pratyaksha Gupta (X-B), have showcased their exceptional talent by securing silver and bronze medals in the 500+D and 1000 meters categories, respectively, at the CBSE North Zone-II Skating Championship, organized by CBSE, New Delhi. The prestigious event took place at St. Soldiers International Convent School in Mohali from October 18 to 21, 2023, where a staggering 3600 students from 500 different schools across the North Zone participated.
Saanvi Grover's remarkable performance not only earned her a silver medal but also secured her a spot in the upcoming CBSE National Level Games scheduled later this year.
The event was a testament to the dedication and sportsmanship of DPS Jammu students. Several other students from the school also participated in the championship, proudly representing their institution. These young athletes include:
Riyansh Mahajan (I-C), Avikam Ashok Gupta (II-F), Mridul Jungral (III-E), Aayan Singh Langhe (IV-B), Roo Dubey (III-E), Aruhi (IV-F), Meera Verma (V-D), Vidhan Mahajan (VI-H) and Viraaj Gandotra (VI-B).
The management of DPS Jammu, including President-RCT, M.K Ajatshatru Singh, distinguished PVC, Dr. Kuwarani Ritu Singh, and Director-S.S Sodhi, along with Principal-DPS Jammu, Ruchi Chabra, extended their heartfelt congratulations to the medalists and all participants. They also expressed their gratitude to the parents and coach, Gulmeet, for their unwavering support. The management conveyed their best wishes to the young athletes, encouraging them in all their future endeavors. These achievements highlight the commitment of DPS Jammu to promoting both academic excellence and sports prowess among its students.
