Police take pledge to eradicate corruption during Vigilance Awareness Week

REASI, Oct 30: In a significant move to combat corruption and promote integrity, a pledge ceremony was conducted throughout District Reasi during the "Vigilance Awareness Week." Under the directive of SSP Reasi, Amit Gupta-JKPS, the primary ceremony took place at DPL Reasi, where police officials and personnel vowed to unite against corruption and all its forms.
During the ceremony, SSP Reasi, along with Dy.SP Hqrs. Reasi Neeraj Padyar-JKPS and SHO P/S Reasi Vijay Sharma, administered an oath to the dedicated police officers and personnel. They pledged to work diligently to eliminate corruption, uphold the highest standards of integrity and transparency, and refuse to give or accept bribes. This commitment aims to nurture a culture of honesty within the law enforcement community.
The integrity pledge taken during Vigilance Awareness Week signifies a promise to uphold the highest standards of honesty and integrity in all situations. It is a resolute dedication to support the ongoing battle against corruption. The officers and personnel of District Police Reasi committed themselves to this noble cause, emphasizing their determination to maintain a corruption-free environment.
SSP Reasi underscored the importance of this initiative, stating, "Corruption has been one of the major hindrances to the economic, political, and social progress of our country. To combat this issue effectively, cooperation is required from all stakeholders, including government entities, citizens, and the private sector."
At various sub-divisions, police stations, and police posts, SDPOs, SHOs, and Police Post Officers organized similar pledge ceremonies, ensuring that the commitment to fighting corruption permeated every level of the District Reasi Police. This collective effort demonstrates a strong resolve to promote transparency, integrity, and good governance, contributing to a corruption-free society.
The "Vigilance Awareness Week" serves as a reminder of the ongoing battle against corruption and the collective commitment of the District Reasi Police to uphold the values of honesty, integrity, and accountability in their service to the community.
