Early Times Report

JAMMU, Nov 5: Raman Suri, an Executive Member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Jammu and Kashmir, has expressed deep gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the historic decision to extend free ration facilities to 80 crore beneficiary families across India for the next five years.
Prime Minister Modi made this monumental announcement in Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh, reaffirming his government's unwavering commitment to the welfare of the impoverished. The Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, a lifeline for millions during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, will continue to provide essential food grains through the public distribution system.
Raman Suri highlighted the immense significance of this extended initiative, particularly in regions like Jammu and Kashmir, which have faced the dual challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and terrorism. The provision of free ration for those in need serves as a beacon of hope and sustenance for affected communities.
Quoting Prime Minister Modi, Raman Suri stated, "During COVID-19, the biggest concern of the poor was what they would feed their children.
Then, I decided that I will not let any poor sleep hungry, hence the BJP government started the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana." Suri commended this visionary and compassionate approach from a statesman who deeply cares for his people and country.
Suri also acknowledged the relentless efforts of the government in making this initiative a reality. He recognized that this extension will positively impact the lives of millions, ensuring that no one goes to bed hungry. The Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, initiated in 2020, has been providing 5 kg of free food grains per person per month to over 80 crore people, earning appreciation worldwide.
