PULWAMA, Nov 6: A meeting was today convened under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Dr.Basharat Qayoom to undertake a comprehensive review of various self-employment related schemes within the district. The meeting, held to address employment initiatives, encompassed an extensive evaluation of multiple departments, including Employment, Agriculture, Horticulture, Fisheries, NRLM, Handicraft, Handloom, Sheep Husbandry, and Animal Husbandry. In the pursuit of optimizing self-employment opportunities and enhancing the efficiency of schemes, the DC highlighted the imperative necessity to expedite case processing and eliminate procedural delays. Emphasizing the goal of achieving full employment saturation in the panchayats, the meeting addressed the critical need to ensure timely and seamless disbursement and sponsorship alignment.
