Samba police apprehend 3 gamblers, recover huge stake money

Samba, Nov 11: In a continued effort against unlawful activities, the Samba Police, under the directives of Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, Benam Tosh, apprehended three individuals involved in gambling under the Gambling Act. The operation took place within the jurisdiction of Police Station Bari Brahmana, resulting in the recovery of a substantial amount of stake money, totaling Rs 11,300.00, along with playing cards from the suspects.
The apprehended individuals have been identified as Gurdyal Singh, son of Sham Singh, resident of Dasal Bari Brahmana; Mohinder Kumar, son of Aant Ram, resident of Meen Sarkar Bari Brahmana; and Gulchain Singh, son of Kulwant Singh, resident of Dasal Kartholi Bari Brahmana.
Acting on specific information related to gambling activities, a Police team, led by Inspector Sham Lal and PSI Mohd Aslam under the supervision of SDPO Bari Brahmana Rahul Nagar and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary, conducted a raid at the gambling spot near Dasal Kartholi, Bari Brahmana. The operation resulted in the apprehension of the three gamblers who were caught in the act, along with the recovery of Rs 11,300.00 in stake money and playing cards.
Legal action has been initiated against the gamblers under section 13 of the Gambling Act.
The police’s swift and decisive action is part of their ongoing efforts to maintain law and order in the region.
