| 6 gamblers arrested; stake money recovered | | | Early Times Report
REASI, Nov 14: Continuing its Endeavour to weed out social crime from the society, District Police Reasi under the overall supervision of SSP Reasi, arrested 06 Gamblers and recovered stake money of Rs 17,080/-
Acting on specific information about Gambling in their jurisdictional area of Reasi, special team of Police Station Reasi conducted raids at Nai Basti Nallah area and arrested gamblers along with stake money.
Police party of Police Station Reasi under the supervision of SHO P/S Reasi Sh. Vijay Sharma and Dy.SP Hqrs. Reasi Sh. Neeraj Padyar-JKPS raided at Nai basti Nallah & arrested 06 gamblers identified as namely 1. Jhuna Mahatoo S/O Punde Mahatoo R/O Gopal Ganj Bihar 2. Ghanshyam Das S/O Itwari Dass R/O Chattisgarh 3. Firto Sahoo S/O Bhagirathi Sahoo R/O Chattisgarh 4. Paras Jaiswal S/O Roopnarayan Jaiswal R/O Chattisgarh 5. Ram Sahoo S/O Ram Dayal R/O Chattisgarh 6. Shailesh Kumar S/O Dama Prashad R/O Gopal Ganj, Bihar.
Taking cognizance into the matter, all the gamblers were booked under section 13 of Gambling Act at Police Station Reasi.
While sharing the details Sr. Superintendent of Police Reasi Sh. Amit Gupta -JKPS conveyed that Reasi police is committed to eradicate the social crime from the society and any person found indulging in such illegal activities will be dealt strictly under laws. |
