Early Times Report

Udhampur, Nov 21: Taking a stern stand against traffic violators, Udhampur Police has initiated a crackdown on offenders, booking more than 90 individuals under various sections of the Motor Vehicles Act. The special drive aims to address visible traffic offenses and enhance road safety in the district. As part of this intensified campaign, the focus is particularly on bike riders and overloaded vehicles that have been violating traffic rules. A dedicated squad, formed from the District Police Line (DPL), is exclusively enforcing these measures. The police stations and posts are conducting special drives to raise awareness about traffic rules among drivers and bike riders. Strict instructions have been issued to students, urging them to avoid rash driving and adhere to traffic regulations. The initiative reflects the commitment of Udhampur Police to ensure road safety and discipline on the roads.
