| Sakina Itoo calls Altaf Bukhari a ‘turncoat’ | | ‘Stop lecturing NC, people know your reality’ | |  Early Times Report
Anantnag, Nov 21: War of words between National Conference and Apni Party is refusing to relent, a few days after Apni Party president Altaf Bukhari accused NC leaders of misleading people by propagating “blatant lies” former minister and senior NC leader Sakina Itoo hit back terming Bukhari as “turn coat” leader.
Addressing a gathering in south Kashmir, Itoo said, “Before giving sermons to NC the Apni Party leaders should introspect and see how many parties has their chief changed. NC was there and has remained there.”
In an apparent reference to Altaf Bukhari, Itoo said, “When you saw that PDP has become irrelevant and stands decimated you turned your coat and formed B and C teams. And see the irony today you are lecturing us. Stop lecturing us, people know your reality.”
Launching a frontal attack at the Apni Party , she said, “You can’t befool the people. They are aware about their political rights. They have shown their maturity by rejecting you and your party in Panchayat and DDC elections.”
She said, “ I am proud to be a daughter of a farmer. I have contested many elections but haven’t been able to build properties. You people contested elections once and have made properties and assets. Where has the money come from?” she asked. |
