DLSA hosts awareness program to mark Constitution Day celebration

REASI, Nov 26: Under the able aegis of NALSA, JKLSA and under the able guidance and supervision of Sonia Gupta Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Reasi today celebrated Constitution Day at District Court Complex.
The event was held to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India and as a mark of tribute to Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar who played an important role in the framing of Indian constitution.
Munsiff Judicial Magistrate First Class, Reasi Arti conducted the proceedings of the programme and also threw light on the importance of the Day. He also reiterated that “The day reminds us of our dedication to serve the society, particularly the poor and downtrodden sections of the society to ensure justice to all and take all steps to provide inexpensive and speedy justice to under-trials which is their constitutional right.”
The event was attended by the Judicial Officers, Prosecutors, Advocates, Panel Lawyers, Para Legal Volunteers and staff members.
As a part of the programme, the Preamble of the Constitution of India was also read by all the participants. Besides this Tehsil Legal Services Committee Katra and Mahore also celebrated Constitution Day at their respective places.
Earlier on November 24 and November 25, DLSA Reasi organised awareness programme about importance of constitution day at Govt Model Higher Secondary School Katra and Govt Girls High School Katra.
PLVs of the district Reasi also conducted awareness about the importance of Constitution Day and encouraged the people to participate in the programme.
