DC Abhishek Sharma visits block Purmandal to assess developmental activities

Samba, Dec 2: Deputy Commissioner Samba, Abhishek Sharma visited Block Purmandal to review the progress of work on development projects being executed in the area.
During his visit, Sharma inspected many government offices and assessed their functioning besides checking their progress.
He visited the Primary Health Centre Uttarbehni and Purmandal to assess the quality of health facilities being provided to the citizens.
He also reviewed the ongoing projects of the Public Works Department. Besides this, the DC inspected the under-construction building of Government Degree College Purmandal and directed the Principal to shift from the make-shift premises to the new building as soon as possible.
Sharma emphasized the importance of punctuality and dedication while serving patients during his review of the working of PHC Purmandal and Uttarbehni.
He directed Executive Engineer Public Works Department to initiate projects under the religious circuit scheme at the earliest.
After this, Abhishek Sharma conducted a visit to Gurha Slathia to inspect the progress of the Jal Jeevan Mission in the area.
Several major components are being implemented in Gurha Slathia under the Jal Jeevan Mission, including the redevelopment of Tubewell at Shiv Mandir, construction of Overhead Tank (OHT) at Upper Gurha Slathia, construction of Sumptank, Pumproom, and GSR, laying and fitting of Rising Main for the transportation of water from its source to various distribution points within the community.
By implementing these crucial components, the Scheme aims to address water scarcity issues and provide a sustainable solution that will benefit the residents of Gurha Slathia in the long run, he stated.
To ensure the timely completion of the Scheme, DC Abhishek Sharma directed the Executive Engineer Jal Shakti Department to expedite the ongoing work and maintain the highest standards of quality in project execution.
