Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 2: The Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Development Commissioner (MSME DFO) Jammu, under the sponsorship of the Union Ministry, showcased the talent and products of 11 selected units from Jammu & Kashmir at the 42nd Indian International Trade Fair (IITF) held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, from November 14th to 27th, 2023.
The participating units were allotted free stalls as part of the Procurement and Marketing Support Scheme, providing them with a platform to promote their products in both national and international markets. The IITF is recognized as one of the most prestigious trade fairs globally, attracting business leaders, industry experts, trade enthusiasts, innovators, and potential partners.
The event witnessed the active participation of over 3,500 exhibitors from various parts of the country and around the globe. With more than 10 lakh visitors exploring the stalls, the MSME units from Jammu & Kashmir received significant attention and interest. This exposure allowed the participating units to secure a substantial volume of orders and boost their sales during the fair.
The units, post-participation, reported not only increased business but also expressed that the experience enhanced their morale. The success stories shared by the units highlight the determination of these Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises in Jammu & Kashmir to leverage their strengths, particularly the high quality of raw materials, such as in the carpet industry.
The MSME DFO Jammu continues to implement various schemes aimed at benefiting the MSME sector in Jammu and Kashmir, and their active participation in events like the IITF underscores the commitment to promoting and fostering growth in the region.
