IDS marks World AIDS Day with educational event

JAMMU, Dec 2: The Institute of Dental Sciences in Sehora, Jammu, commemorated World AIDS Day with a special event aimed at raising awareness about HIV/AIDS and fostering a deeper understanding of the disease. The event, attended by faculty members, interns, and students, was designed to educate and inform the college community about the impact of AIDS.
Dr. Harvinder Singh, Director Academics, was the esteemed guest of honor, and the program kicked off with a warm welcome for him, along with other faculty members. The highlight of the event included a hand painting competition and a skit presentation, both geared towards educating attendees about AIDS and providing guidance on dealing with the disease. The judging panel consisted of Dr. Harvinder Singh, Dr. Rishabh Gupta, and Dr. Esha Bali, who assessed the performances and creativity of the participants. Certificates were distributed to recognize the efforts of both winners and participants.
The success of the event can be attributed to the leadership of Dr. Harvinder Singh and the diligent efforts of the Student Welfare Committee, comprising Dr. Syed Raheela, Dr. Diksha Kudyar, Dr. Bela Mahajan, and students Jaspinder Kour, Aayat Raja, Faheena Fayaz, and Bhavjal Singh Mehta.
Dr. Syed Raheela, the head of the Student Welfare Committee, delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing appreciation to all contributors who played a role in making the event a success.
The Institute of Dental Sciences, Sehora Jammu, remains steadfast in its commitment to promoting awareness about critical public health issues and contributing to the development of a healthy and informed society.
