JAMMU, Dec 2: The Department of Computer Engineering at Government Polytechnic Jammu recently organized a thought-provoking Expert Lecture and Workshop on the intriguing topic, "A deep dive into Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning - Applications, Challenges, and Future Trends."
The event featured Dr. Palak Mahajan, Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Sciences and Engineering, Central University Jammu, as the esteemed resource person. Dr. Mahajan, with her expertise in the field, provided valuable insights into the world of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML).
The program commenced with a warm welcome address by Er. Arun Bangotra, the Principal of Government Polytechnic Jammu. In his opening remarks, Er. Bangotra underscored the importance of comprehending the fundamental concepts in AI and Machine Learning in the evolving technological landscape.
Dr. Palak Mahajan delved into the core concepts of AI and ML, shedding light on various applications and challenges prevalent in today's dynamic world. The resource person elucidated on virtual assistant tools like Siri, offering a detailed understanding of its functioning and the diverse frameworks employed in Machine Learning.
The lecture also covered topics such as data visualization using Phase I-Learning and Phase-II Prediction, with a special emphasis on the intricate field of Deep Learning. Dr. Mahajan engaged the students by providing live examples, fostering a better grasp of the discussed concepts, and addressing queries related to Machine Learning.
Er. Heena Gupta skillfully coordinated the event, ensuring its smooth execution. The occasion witnessed the presence of key figures including Er. Sanjay Koul, Head of Department (Computer Engineering), Er. Rani Devi, Head of Department (Information Technology), Snehjot Kour, and Er. Kanav Gupta.
