GDC Samba organizes voter awareness events

SAMBA, Dec 14: Recognizing the importance of an informed and engaged electorate, the Department of Sociology at Sh.Pandit Prem Nath Dogra Government Degree College, Samba, organized a series of events in collaboration with the Department of Political Science to promote voter awareness among students.
November 28th, 2023: In partnership with the District Electoral Office, Samba, the college hosted a registration drive, encouraging students to enroll themselves as voters. The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation, with many students taking the first step towards exercising their democratic right.
December 13th, 2023: To further engage students and deepen their understanding of voter responsibility, the college organized a poster-making competition on the theme of Voter's Day. Students showcased their creativity and critical thinking through their posters, highlighting the importance of active participation in the electoral process.
Principal Dr. Twinkle Suri lauded the efforts of the departments and commended the students for their enthusiastic participation. She emphasized the importance of voter education and encouraged students to continue seeking knowledge and actively engage in their civic duty.
