SSP holds 'Thana Diwas' to address public concerns

SAMBA, Dec 14: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Samba, Benam Tosh, presided over a 'Thana Diwas' program at the Samba Police Station on today. The event witnessed the presence of hundreds of prominent citizens who discussed their concerns and grievances with the police.
SSP Tosh, accompanied by Additional SP Surinder Choudhary, DySP Hqrs Bhishm Dubey, DySP DAR Surinder Mohan, and other officers, listened attentively as representatives from various sections of society voiced their issues. These included:
President, Beopar Mandal: Tejinder Singh
President, Social Club Samba: Sunil Gupta
President, Readywala Union: Sunny Sambyal
Sarpanch, Shah Balode: Sunil Choudhary
Social Activists: Krishan Mahajan and Swarn Singh
The concerns raised ranged from general grievances to suggestions for improving police work. Chowki Officer Supwal PSI Deepika Jalotra also participated in the discussions.
Responding to the public's concerns, SSP Tosh emphasized the purpose of 'Thana Diwas' as a platform for open communication and grievance redressal. He acknowledged the valuable suggestions and guidance provided by the community and assured prompt action on their grievances. SSP Tosh further pledged Samba police's commitment to serving the public with respect, professionalism, and patience. He emphasized that innocent individuals would never be subjected to insults or humiliation.
In addition to the 'Thana Diwas' program, SSP Tosh plans to conduct separate, confidential meetings with ordinary citizens to gain a deeper understanding of their specific problems and develop effective solutions.
This initiative demonstrates the Samba police's dedication to building strong relationships with the community and ensuring their well-being. By actively engaging with citizens and addressing their concerns, the police can foster a sense of trust and mutual respect, leading to a safer and more secure environment for all.
