Sadhotra urges NCSU brigade to play vital role in eradicating drug menace

JAMMU, Dec 14: A meeting of the National Conference Students Union (NCSU) was held at the Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan in Jammu today.
The meeting was organized by Harsh Vardhan Singh, President of the NCSU, and presided over by Ajay Kumar Sadhotra, Additional General Secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) and former minister.
At the beginning of the meeting, Harsh Vardhan Singh apprised the senior functionary of the party about the rising drug menace in the Jammu region. He expressed concern about the easy availability of drugs and the devastating impact it is having on Students.
In his address, Ajay Kumar Sadhotra criticized the present government for its failure to tackle the rising drug menace in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the government has failed to take effective measures to control the supply of drugs and provide rehabilitation services to addicts.
Sadhotra emphasized the role of Students in building a better future for Jammu and Kashmir. He urged them to come forward and play a vital role in eradicating the drug menace. He said that the NCSU will work closely with the party leadership to address this critical issue.
Assuring the senior functionary of the Party, Harsh Vardhan Singh pledged that the NCSU will fully support and implement the initiatives outlined by the "War Against Drug Addiction" (WADA) committee, established by Party's Vice President Omar Abdullah. He said NCSU will work alongside the WADA committee and other stakeholders to combat this critical issue.
