GDC Ramgarh takes stride towards a Drug-Free India

RAMGARH, Dec 18: Government Degree College (GDC) Ramgarh, under the guidance of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjali Andotra, organized a spirited rally on November 18, 2023, as part of the "Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan" (NMBA), raising awareness about the detrimental effects of drug abuse.
The NSS Unit, "Prabha," at GDC Ramgarh conducted an awareness rally as part of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan. The initiative aimed to educate students and the general public about the serious issues and harmful impacts associated with drug abuse.
Principal Dr. Geetanjali Andotra provided supervision and able guidance for the event, emphasizing the importance of raising awareness about the consequences of drug misuse. The rally was flagged off from the college premises, showcasing a commitment to community welfare.
A significant number of students actively participated in the rally, marching through the nearby adopted village Kalah. They raised slogans to spread awareness about the health issues related to drug misuse and the significance of rehabilitation.
The awareness program was efficiently coordinated by the NSS Unit, Prabha, under the convenorship of Programme Officer, Prof. Bram Dutt. The unit played a crucial role in organizing and executing the rally to maximize its impact. Accompanying the rally were faculty members Dr. Shivali Choudhary, Dr. Paramjeet Kour, Mr. Sunil Kumar, and Ms. Priya Sharma, demonstrating collective support for the cause.
The initiative reflects GDC Ramgarh's commitment to fostering a drug-free and healthy society. By actively engaging with the community, the college seeks to contribute to the larger goal of building a Nasha Mukt Bharat.
The Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan rally at GDC Ramgarh signifies the college's dedication to social responsibility and underscores the importance of collective efforts in combating the challenges posed by drug abuse in the country.
