Cattle lifters gang busted by Khour police

Jammu, Dec 18: An information was received at PS Khour through reliable sources regarding bovine smuggling in the areas under the jurisdictions of PS Akhnoor and PS Khour.
On this a special police team of PS Khour led by SHO PS Khour laid a surprise naka near Naryana chowk and rounded up one vehicle bearing Registration No. JK02DF/9608.
During interception few cattle lifters attacked the police party with stones and lathis but police teams overpowered them. Also during search of the vehicle one sharp edged weapon (Tokka) was also recovered from their possession.
On this case FIR under relevant sections got registered at PS Khour and accused were arrested. Also the vehicle used for commission of offence was seized and bovines were rescued.
The accused arrested were identified as:
1) Raj Ali @ Kaalu Gujjar s/o Benia Ameen R/o Prangala Khour
2) Bula shah s/o Noor Jamal R/o Chrala kote Reasi
3) Liaqat Ali s/o Mohd Fareed R/o Rajpora Karnachak
4) Husaindin s/o Mohd shareef R/o Kalayanpur Kanacahak
5) Mushtaq Ali S/o Sirajudin R/o Kanachak.
It is pertinent to mention that accused namely Raj Ali @ Kallu Gujjar is notorious cattle lifter and was involved in multiple cases. Details of the cases are as :
1) case FIR no 42/2014 us 188 RPC 3 PCA PS Khour
2) case FIR no 159/2115 us 188 RPC , 3 PCA PS Akhnoor
3) case FIR no 95/2017 us 307/332/ 324/147/148/149/127/201 RPC PS Khour
4) case FIR no 247/2023 us 379 IPC PS Akhnoor
5) case FIR no 107/2023 us 307/332/188 IPC ,11 PCA Act 4/25 IAA .
Further investigation is going on and more arrests are likely to made in the said case.
