AKHNOOR, Dec 19: An awareness workshop Viksit Bharat @2047: Voice of Youth was held at GDC Akhnoor under the patronage of worthy Principal Dr. Romilla Malla Bhat. Viksit Bharat@2047 is the vision of Government of India to make India a developed nation by 2047, the 100th year of its independence. The vision encompasses various aspects of development, including economic growth, social progress, environmental sustainability, and good governance. It is the largest-ever outreach initiative of Government of India and will cover 2.60 lakh Gram Panchayats and 4000+ urban local bodies across the nation by January 25, 2024. The National Cadet Corps (NCC) units 2 J&K BOYS BN Jammu, 2nd J&K Girls BN Jammu and National Service Scheme (NSS) unit together organized a slogan writing awareness under the banner of Viksit Bharat. The event aimed to foster a spirit of curiosity and appreciation for the role of science and technology in shaping a progressive India through skill development, innovation, and start-ups. The event was organised by Dr. Deepali Mahajan, Coordinator Viksit Bharat Cell with valuable assistance from Dr. Deepika Gupta and Dr. Sandhya Rani and supervision of Dr. Pinki Manhas and Dr. Sanjay Kapoor (NSS Programme Officer). NCC cadets and NSS volunteers brimming with creativity and enthusiasm, gathered at the college premises to express their ideas on the pivotal theme of Viksit Bharat. Dr. Romilla Malla Bhat, Principal of the college expressed delight at the youths active involvement in articulating their thoughts to sustainable solutions for societal challenges. The students were encouraged to register at the portal mygov.in and motivated to express and share their thoughts for Viksit Bharat.
