JAMMU, Dec 19: SPMR College of Commerce witnessed a stimulating session as it hosted an awareness lecture and essay competition on "Viksit Bharat @ 2047" today. The event, graced by esteemed personalities, aimed to encourage students to contribute ideas for the development and progress of the nation.
The chief guest for the occasion, Vice Chancellor of Cluster University of Jammu, Prof. (Dr.) Bechan Lal, emphasized the significance of the Viksit Bharat @ 2047 Abhiyan, describing it as a golden opportunity for students to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the country. Prof. Bechan Lal urged students to submit innovative ideas addressing local, national, and international issues. He highlighted the historical impact of youth in driving the progress of nations, citing examples of students who have contributed revolutionary ideas throughout history. Prof. Bechan Lal encouraged students to think creatively and dedicate themselves to the development of the nation.
The event also featured an essay competition on the theme "Vision: Viksit Bharat @ 2047." Vishu Raina, a student from Semester 3, secured the first position, showcasing his insightful perspective on the future of a developed India. Sidharth Rathod claimed the second position, while Anamika Sharma and Varun Gupta, both from Semester 3, tied for the third position. Dr. Faiza and Dr. Roomi Rani served as resource persons for the competition, with Dr. Sana acting as the adjudicator.
The entire program was skillfully coordinated by Prof. Monika Mahajan, Prof. Shaji Khan, Dr. Roomi Rani, Prof. Faiza, and Prof. Binny Kumar, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for all participants.
The initiative not only provided a platform for intellectual exchange but also instilled a sense of responsibility among the students to actively contribute to the vision of a developed and prosperous India by the year 2047.
