ASSOCHAM welcomes Atal Dulloo as Chief Secretary of J&K

JAMMU, Dec 19: The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) extends a warm welcome to Atal Dulloo on his appointment as the Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir. In a gesture of congratulations and support, a delegation led by Manik Batra, Chairman of ASSOCHAM J&K Council and Director of Batra Group, had the privilege of meeting Dulloo to convey their best wishes and felicitations.
The delegation, comprising Mr. Bhupesh Gupta, Co-Chairman of ASSOCHAM J&K Council and Managing Partner of Hotel Radisson Blu Jammu, and Amit Khajuria, Assistant Director of ASSOCHAM J&K, Ladakh, expressed their confidence in Dulloo's leadership and commitment to the development of the Union Territory.
During the meeting, a range of critical issues related to industries and trade in the region were discussed. The delegation expressed its support for the holistic development of Jammu and Kashmir, affirming ASSOCHAM's commitment to collaborating closely with the government to address key challenges and explore opportunities for growth.
Some of the prominent topics discussed included, Change of Land Use (CLU): The delegation highlighted the importance of facilitating a streamlined process for the change of land use, emphasizing its significance in promoting industrial growth and attracting investments to the region.
Warehousing in Jammu: Recognizing Jammu's strategic role in the supply chain for Ladakh and Kashmir, the delegation proposed the establishment of more warehousing facilities in Jammu. This initiative aims to enhance logistical efficiency and create employment opportunities in the region.
New Tourist Circuits in Jammu Region: The delegation emphasized the potential for tourism development in Jammu and proposed the creation of new tourist circuits. This initiative seeks to attract more visitors, stimulate economic growth, and showcase the cultural and natural heritage of the region.
Manik Batra, Chairman of ASSOCHAM J&K Council, assured Dulloo of ASSOCHAM's unwavering support and collaboration in realizing the shared vision of holistic development for Jammu and Kashmir.
