Inter-District UT Level Rifle Shooting trials showcase young talent in Jammu

JAMMU, Dec 20: In a bid to unearth exceptional talent in the sports discipline of Rifle Shooting, the Department of Youth Services and Sports office in Jammu successfully conducted the Inter-District UT Level Selection Trials for boys and girls on December 19-20, 2023. The event took place at the Rifle Shooting Hall in Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
Under the esteemed patronage of Director Youth Services and Sports JK UT, Subhash Chander Chibber (JKAS), and the visionary guidance of Joint Director Youth Services and Sports Jammu, Suram Chand Sharma (JKAS), the competition witnessed an impressive turnout of young and enthusiastic participants.
The overall supervision of DYSSO Jammu, Sukhdev Raj Sharma, added a layer of professionalism to the event, ensuring its smooth execution and adherence to the highest standards.
The primary goal of this competition is to identify and select the most talented players who will represent Jammu and Kashmir at the next level of competitions. Participants, comprising both boys and girls, exhibited unwavering determination, strength, and sportsmanship throughout the trials, showcasing the vibrant spirit of the region's budding athletes.
The success of the event owes much to the dedicated officials who played a pivotal role in its organization. Their commitment and efforts were crucial in creating an environment conducive to fair play and healthy competition.
