SKUAST forges strategic partnership with J&K Bank

JAMMU, Dec 20: In a significant move towards enhancing financial services and support for its employees, the Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, Jammu (SKUAST-J), and Jammu & Kashmir Bank Ltd. have officially entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The signing ceremony, held in Jammu, marked the commencement of a collaborative alliance aimed at providing exclusive financial benefits to SKUAST-Jammu employees.
Prominent dignitaries graced the signing ceremony, including Rajesh Dubey (Zonal Head Signatory) and Suresh Choudhary (Cluster Head) from J&K Bank. Representing SKUAST-J were Prof. S.K Gupta (Director Research/Registrar), Prof. Anil Kumar (Dean, Faculty of Agriculture), Madan Lal (Comptroller), and all the Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) of the university. The event witnessed the presence of Chander Mohan Jamwal (Branch Manager SKUAST) and Ashok Kumar Sharma (Incharge Credit) from J&K Bank, along with esteemed personalities from the bank's zonal marketing department.
The strategic partnership positions J&K Bank as the preferred banking partner for all financial services required by SKUAST-J. The MoU encompasses a range of specialized offerings, including custom savings accounts, complimentary debit cards, zero balance accounts, credit facilities, overdraft options, and favorable loan terms tailored for employees within defined pay bands.
As part of the collaboration, J&K Bank is committed to organizing Financial Literacy Camps across various SKUAST-Jammu centers. These sessions will empower employees with comprehensive knowledge about digital banking services, financial products, and secure banking practices. The bank pledges to provide unwavering support by offering digital banking services, transaction fee waivers, and privileged access to exclusive loan products. A central coordination team will ensure the delivery of top-notch service standards.
Expressing mutual enthusiasm, both SKUAST-Jammu and J&K Bank emphasized the collaborative spirit driving this alliance. The focus is on fostering financial inclusivity and delivering robust banking solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of SKUAST-Jammu employees.
Effective immediately, this MoU is poised to elevate the financial well-being and convenience of the university's staff, marking a significant stride towards rendering comprehensive banking services and empowering SKUAST-J employees with tailored financial solutions. This partnership signifies a substantial step forward in solidifying the bond between J&K Bank and the esteemed university.
