Congress, allies across J&K frustrated & in disarray: Rana
Post abrogation Art 370
12/20/2023 11:23:10 PM
Early Times Report
SUCHETGARH, Dec 20: Senior BJP leader Devender Singh Rana today said that frustration is looming large over the Congress and its Jammu and Kashmir allies on the face of imminent debacle in 2024 General Elections, as the nation has decided hat-trick for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"The impact of the decimation of the Congress in the national politics will be colossal on Jammu and Kashmir, their allies the regional parties losing their postal address for indulging in and promoting dubious, mischievous, self-centric and anti-people political discourse", Devender Rana said while addressing Karykartas during Booth Jan Samvad Maha Abhiyaan at Thikri Suchetgarh and Arnia in Suchetgarh & Bishnah assembly constituencies in Jammu Border, which were attended by Ex MLAs Prof Garu Ram Bhagat, Ashwani Sharma besides District President Sunil Dutt and Prabhari Rajinder Singh Chib. Tarsem Choudhry and Jai Bharti were key note speakers in the meetings.
He said the abrogation of Article 370 and its endorsement by the Supreme Court has proved to be the last nail in the coffin of the deceitful politics of seven decades wherein generations were kept misinformed on the temporary nature of the constitutional provision. For their vested interest, the regional political parties and the Congress created a perception that the discriminative and unjust provision was beyond repeal or amendment. Now that the course correction has been made, they stand exposed and to hide their embarrassment, they are coming up with hilarious arguments. He said the temporary provision incorporated in the Constitution at the instance of Jawaharlal Nehru had caused irreparable injustice to the various segments of Jammu and Kashmir people.
Devender Rana said the abrogation of Article 370 has hugely benefited half the population of Jammu and Kashmir with women getting all the rights their compatriots across the nation were enjoying for over 70 years. The political decisions of August 5, 2019 has brought cheer in the lives of the people of Ladakh, the marginalized segments of Jammu and Kashmir like West Pakistan Refugees, Valmikis, Gujjars, Scheduled Castes and other marginalized segments, he added.
Rana said the repeal of Article 370 heralded a new era of peace with economic activity gaining momentum in the Valley. The culture of shut-downs and Intifaada style stone pelting has become a nightmarish history. He said the despondency or complicity of the pre-2019 years was such that the political executives were looking haplessly towards separatists, who were calling shots. He said the common man in Kashmir is now feeling empowered to earn their livelihood, children are continuing their studies and other sports activities unabatedly, business is buzzing and being the tourist destination tourism is registering new marks, be it winter, summer or autumn. Like the blooming of four seasons, the people of Kashmir are also blooming with hope and a better promise of tomorrow. They too realize the futility of self-centric leaders and believe in Modi Hai Tu Mumkin Hai, he added.
Rana said the people of Jammu and Kashmir are feeling a sense of confidence and security about their future. They know that they are the masters of their own destiny. Now the decisions about their progress and development will be taken at Lal Chowk and Raghunath Bazar, and not in the cozy drawing rooms of the self centric political class, he maintained.
Among others who present on the occasion included Harbajan Singh Pammi, Krishan Choudhary (Mandal President Suchetgarh, Adv Deep Dalir Singh, Balbinder Singh (Numberdar) and others.
