Early Times Report

JAMMU, Dec 20: To rejuvenate India’s rich heritage of traditional crafts, the PM Vishwakarma Scheme, initiated by the Modi Government, aims to revolutionize the sector by empowering artisans across the nation.
This was stated by Kavinder Gupta, senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister while addressing a workshop on PM Vishwakarma Yojana at Party Headquarters here today. The workshop was organized by Rekha Mahajan, BJP District President Jammu South.
Addressing the party workers, the senior BJP leader said that the PM Vishwakarma Scheme has designed to bolster local economies, bridging the gap between age-old artistry and modern market demands. By providing artisans with enhanced access to resources, training, and market exposure, the scheme promises to breathe new life into the diverse tapestry of Indian craftsmanship, ensuring sustainable livelihoods and preserving cultural legacies for future generations, he added.
Kavinder urged the party workers to remain proactive at the grass roots level and highlight the essential features of the PM Vishwakarma Scheme in their respective areas so that maximum number of people will take benefit of this marvellous scheme. He asked the party workers to raise awareness through outreach activities to achieve saturation of PM Vishwakarma scheme across the Union Territory.
Emphasizing that BJP’s foot soldiers have always played a vital role in achieving the targets set by the party, Kavinder asked party cadre to reach out to the unreached and the vulnerable people who are eligible under the aforesaid scheme but have not availed the benefit so far. For this it is necessary to disseminate information and generate awareness about the same among the left out lot. Moreover, it is also necessary to interact with beneficiaries of PM Vishwakarma and other schemes and their personal success stories and experience with those who are yet to avail the benefit of the schemes.
Besides, Kavinder also informed that BJP will celebrate ‘Sushasan Diwas’ on December 25 and birthday of Chaar Sahibzade on December 26.
Rekha Mahajan, BJP District President, in her address, highlighted salient features of the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana asserting that it has the full potential of empowering the aspirants be it the youth including women or other artisans and crafts-persons. She said that the seriousness of PM Modi and his Govt in this regard can be well gauged from the fact that a whole of government approach has been adopted to ensure the widest possible participation of all concerned for the ultimate benefit of the people of this nation.
Others who addressed the workshop were Neha Mahajan Gen Secy Mahila Morcha, Indu Puri, Shailja Gupta and Divya Mahajan. Among others who were present include Ayodhya Gupta, Charanjit Khalsa, Sunil Prajapati, Neeraj Lucky Puri, Aakash Chopra, Pushpinder Singh, Bharat Bhushan, Nayan Gupta, Ranjit Singh, Pushkar, Rahul Kumar, Rachit Khosla and Vishal Mahajan.
