Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 21: Former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta flagged off the 34th Varshik Vishva Shanti Dharam Yatra (Charri Mubarak Yatra) from Maa Bawe Wali Mandir to Maa Jwala Ji Mandir in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, on Thursday. This annual pilgrimage, supervised by Jagdish Sharma and Dr. Poonam Sharma, sees thousands of devotees participating with profound religious fervor each year.
It is pertinent to mention that the Jawala Mata Charri Yatra, a tradition upheld for the last 33 years, commences in Kishtwar and culminates at the Maa Jwala Ji Shrine in Himachal Pradesh.
The yatra was warmly received by Tarun Uppal, Chairman of the Nirbhay Bharat Foundation at Bajalta, where the foundation stone of the Maa Jwala Ji Temple has been laid. The yatra commenced following Kavinder Gupta's act of reverence at the Maa Bawe Wali Temple.
Hundreds of devotees joined the Charri Mubarak Yatra from Maa Bawe Wali Temple as it embarked on its journey to the Jwala Mata Temple in Kangra.
Expressing his sentiments, Kavinder Gupta hoped that the divine blessings garnered through the yatra would fortify the bonds of amity, ushering in peace and prosperity in the J&K UT.
While interacting with the participants, Kavinder Gupta emphasized that religious events like the Charri Yatra play a crucial role in spreading messages of brotherhood and peace. He expressed his hope that the pilgrimage would bring happiness and prosperity to J&K and offered prayers for the betterment and welfare of the people.
Tarun Uppal echoed similar sentiments, expressing his aspiration for the pilgrimage to conclude smoothly and successfully. He urged the public to leverage religious events as platforms for promoting peace, brotherhood, and communal harmony. "Such pilgrimages offer devotees a chance to seek spiritual comfort in a serene environment. I hope this yatra will act as a harbinger of peace and tranquility among various segments of society," he added.
