Kavinder slams Mehbooba, Raut for doing politics on soldiers' martyrdom
12/25/2023 11:16:57 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 25: Kavinder Gupta, senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Deputy Chief Minister J&K has rubbished the statements issued by People's Democratic Party (PDP) leader and former CM Mehbooba Mufti besides Udit Raj and Sanjay Raut of Shiv Sena on the martyrdom of soldiers in J&K.
In a statement issued to media here today, the senior BJP leader said that the opposition leaders issuing irresponsible statements even over the most sensitive matters including the martyrdom of soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice for the integrity of the nation and security of the people. He said that it is most unfortunate that the opposition leaders like Mehbooba Mufti, Sanjay Raut or others have started doing politics on the martyrdom of the nation's soldiers who laid their lives in Poonch recently.
Kavinder said that it is unbecoming of Mehbooba Mufti to press for a visit to the terror infested region at this time where anti terrorist operation or cordon off and search operations are in progress. He said that it is time to stand with the nation's defence forces by speaking language that bolsters their fight in that tough geographical terrain instead of adopting a stance that would undoubtedly create law and order problems. He said that Mehbooba is living in a fools' paradise thinking that by adopting such a stance she would gain the lost political space for the party.
Reacting sharply to the statements of Sanjay Raut and Udit Raj comparing the Poonch ambush incident with the Pulwama terror attack in 2019 and questioning the motive of the central government, Kavinder slammed the said leaders saying that their statements only reflect the lowest level that they can stoop to on such serious issues especially the ones pertaining to the martyrdom of our soldiers.
Kavinder reminded these leaders that Bharatiya Janata Party has been consecutively ruling the nation on the basis of its performance in all the sectors and can never even think resort to tactics as alleged by Raut. He said that people of the world's largest democracy are wise enough and they can't be misled by the disgruntled politicians like Mehbooba, Raut or Udit Raj and their ilk.
He asserted that BJP is all set to come to power at the Centre for the third consecutive term as people will vote for it on the basis of its par excellence performance.
