Poonch terror attack :Agencies investigating role of female OGWs

Jammu, Dec 25: Although security forces have detained over two dozen suspects after the dreaded terror attack in Dera Ki Gali on Thursday, intelligence agencies are investigating the role of some female Over Ground Workers (OGWs) in giving shelter to terrorists in the twin border districts of Poonch and Rajouri. Highly placed sources said that Afghan-trained Pakistani terrorists, who have managed to sneak into this side of the Line of Control (LoC) are using female OGWs to dodge the security forces.
Sources said that the intelligence agencies have not ruled out the involvement of some female OGWs in the repeated terror attacks in the south of Pir Panchal- comprising Poonch and Rajouri districts.
During the Solki terror attack in the Kalakote area, five soldiers including two Captains of the Indian Army attained the martyrdom role of some females were came under the scanner. A video had gone viral on social media in which two females were seen standing with two dreaded Pakistani terrorists including Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorist Qari and his associate.
Important to mention here that after the twin terror attacks in Dangri village of Rajouri district on January 1 and January 2, some women were detained by the police for for allegedly providing food to the terrorists.
Earlier women were also detained for providing food and shelter to terrorists involved in the December 22, 2022 terror attack in front of the gate of the Army formation in Rajouri district. Women were questioned as it was learned that the terrorists had stayed at their houses for two days.
Apart from the police, other agencies had also questioned the women, who had disclosed that the terrorists had also taken food and drinks.
