KATHUA, Dec 29: The National Service Scheme (NSS) units at Government Degree College (GDC) Kathua orchestrated a significant Road Safety Pledge Ceremony today, drawing over a hundred NSS volunteers and students. The event, held under the dynamic leadership of Principal Prof Seema Mir, saw enthusiastic participation from the college faculty, emphasizing the collective commitment to promoting road safety awareness.
Vishal Gupta, an NSS Volunteer from the III semester, took center stage to read out the road safety pledge. The NSS volunteers and students, along with Principal Prof Seema Mir and faculty members, solemnly committed to upholding road safety norms and regulations in their daily lives.
Before the pledge ceremony, Prof Seema Mir addressed the gathering, shedding light on the importance of adhering to traffic rules. She delivered an insightful discourse, urging NSS volunteers to not only follow traffic regulations personally but also become youth ambassadors in their communities, propagating the road safety campaign. Prof Seema Mir's impassioned appeal resonated with the audience as she called upon NSS volunteers to take an active role in disseminating awareness about road safety. She emphasized the pivotal role the youth can play in creating a safer road environment and contributing to a culture of responsible citizenship.
