Principal Secretary Finance concludes 2 day tour to Kishtwar

KISHTWAR, Dec 29: Principal Secretary, Finance, Santosh D Vaidya, concluded his exhaustive two day visit to Kishtwar with detailed assessment of development initiatives and redressal of local concerns.
The day before, Principal Secretary along with Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav and other concerned officers inspected and reviewed the crucial development projects and upgradation of infrastructure in the district. He affirmed administration's commitment towards assessing and advancing developmental initiatives in the region.
Additionally, Santosh D Vaidya inspected and assessed the pace and progress on ongoing Hydroelectric Power projects. He also engaged in review meetings with concerned HEP authorities and stakeholders, and discussed crucial issues, seeking immediate resolutions through collaborative measures, emphasising timely completion of these HEP projects.
Principal Secretary also presided over a mega Public Darbar at Dool A panchayat of Nagseni besides participating in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.
During the Public Darbar, a substantial gathering of 700 participants, including community members, dignitaries, district officers, and field functionaries, warmly welcomed Santosh D Vaidya, underscoring the event's significance.
District Development Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav along with several key officials such as ADC Kishtwar Inderjeet Singh Parihar, ACR Varunjeet Singh Charak, ACP Kishtwar Zakir Hussain Wani, and other departmental heads also graced the occasion with their presence.
During the Public Darbar, delegations comprising local PRIs and influential figures highlighted area-specific grievances and demands, seeking immediate resolutions through consultation with relevant authorities.
During his address, Principal Secretary passionately assured attendees of the administration's commitment to addressing genuine grievances while commending District Administration for his proactive approach in resolving community issues.
Amidst these engagements, Santosh D Vaidya also actively participated in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra proceedings, inspecting stalls showcasing citizen-centric beneficiary schemes and administering the VBSY pledge to participants. He emphasized collective efforts of people, youth, officers, and PRIs to materialize the vision of a Developed India by 2047, highlighting the pivotal role of youth in this pursuit.
The event also featured a screening of PM's message on Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, musical and cultural performances by local artists and Nagseni Cultural group, and distribution of IEC material.
On this occasion, Principal Secretary also handed over sanction letters under HADP to eligible farmers and prosthetic aids, including wheelchairs and sticks, provided by the Social Welfare Department for the elderly and PwDs.
