JKTJAC organizes one-day convention raises issues of NPS employees

REASI, Dec 29: Today, a one-day convention was organized at Reasi under the leadership of District President Reasi, Balwan Singh, where UT President Vinod Sharma served as the Chief Guest. The convention addressed various concerns, with a particular focus on the issues faced by NPS (National Pension System) employees in the Union Territory.
Vinod Sharma, while addressing the gathering, highlighted the pressing issue of NPS employees and their worries about post-retirement life due to the unavailability of the old pension. He emphasized the need for the LG administration to intervene and implement the old Pension Scheme for the benefit of NPS employees in the UT.
Comprehensive transfer policy for teachers appointed under the ReT scheme who have been working in the same schools for over 20 years.
Conversion of head teacher posts into non-plan posts of masters.
DPC (Departmental Promotion Committee) of teachers to masters.
Enrollment/Post facto permission for teachers/masters to enhance their qualifications.
Rajesh Jamwal, Provincial President Jammu, demanded the conversion of RRETs to Teachers Grade II/III, regularization of ReTs who have completed their 5-year ReT period satisfactorily, and the release of pending Mid-Day Meals dues that teachers have managed from their own pockets.
District President Reasi, Balwan Singh, assured full support from District Reasi to the JKTJAC leadership. He expressed gratitude to all the guests and teachers who participated in the convention on short notice.
Several executive members from all zones of District Reasi attended the convention, sharing their views on various issues. The participants included Balwan Singh, Pawan Kumar, Narinder Jamwal, John Mohd Arun Dubey, Jagdev Singh, Gopal Krishan, Lal Singh, Surnandan Singh, Babu Bhatti, Charan Singh, Ghansham Sawney, Sanjay Kumar, Pardeep Singh, Rajinder Singh, Gulab Singh, Sohan Lal Raina, Pritam Kumar, Ajay Kumar, ZP Sheikh Shabi, Abdul Rashid, Bashir ud Din, Mustaq Manhas, Mohd Rafiq, Shabir Ahmed, Gh Mohi ud Din, Ab Majeed Sandesh Singh, Shamsher Singh, Khem Raj Charak, Parshotam Singh, Balbir Singh, Vikas K Verma, Tarun Sharma, Sanjay Kumar, Balwinder Kumar, Romesh, Raghubir Singh, Abrar Ahmed, Sabnum Kouser, Kirpal Singh, Sudesh Kumar, Balwant Singh Lardha, Chuni Lal, Daleep Singh, Sohan Singh, Ashwani Sharma, Sohan Lal, Pawan Kumar, Madan Lal, and others.
The convention provided a platform for constructive dialogue and highlighted the collective concerns of the teaching fraternity in the region.
