SJM Gillani-IPS ADGP Armed J&K elevates 316 police personnel in recognition of merit

JAMMU, Jan 2: S.J.M Gillani-IPS, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Armed J&K, demonstrated a commitment to recognizing and encouraging excellence within the force by issuing promotion orders for 316 police personnel. The promotion orders, effective immediately, include the elevation of 01 Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) to the rank of Sub Inspector, 88 Head Constables to the rank of Assistant Sub-inspectors, 107 Sg. Constables to the rank of Head Constables, and 120 Constables to the rank of Sg. Constables in J&K Armed Police.
The decision to promote these deserving officers was made after a meticulous assessment by the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC), headed by S.J.M Gillani-IPS ADGP Armed J&K. The DPC, with Shri Tahir Sajad Bhat-SSP, Shri Virinder Singh-SSP, Jeetan Matoo-SP, and other distinguished members, thoroughly reviewed the eligibility and merit of each candidate. The assessments were conducted in accordance with the relevant promotion norms of the J&K Police organization.
Gillani congratulated the newly promoted personnel, extending his best wishes to them and their families. He expressed confidence that these officers would consistently exhibit discipline, hard work, and dedication in their assignments, living up to the high expectations of the people.
Mahmood Ahmed-SSP, Staff Officer to ADGP Armed J&K, along with other senior officers of Armed Police Headquarters, joined in congratulating the newly promoted officers. The collective recognition of their achievements reflects the commitment of the J&K Armed Police to fostering a culture of meritocracy and excellence within its ranks. The successful execution of the promotion process, overseen by the ADGP and the DPC, underscores the organization's dedication to nurturing talent and ensuring that deserving individuals progress to higher ranks based on their contributions and capabilities. The J&K Armed Police looks forward to the continued dedication and exemplary service of its newly promoted officers.
