REASI, Jan 3: District Development Commissioner Reasi Vishesh Mahajan today participated in a community-centric event, “Block Diwas,” to directly engage with the residents of Bhambla Panchayat in block Pouni and address their grievances at their doorsteps. The initiative of the LG administration aims to strengthen the bond between the district administration and the community by bringing governance closer to the people. During Block Diwas, residents had the opportunity to voice their concerns and seek solutions directly from the DDC and other concerned officers. During the proceedings of Block Diwas, PRIs and locals raised a number of grievances and general demands with regard to augmentation of water and power supply, shortage of staff in health centers, blacktoping of link road, fresh survey of PMAY, pending MGNREGA payments and other issues of public importance.
After giving patient hearing to the grievances and demands of the public, the DC sought on the spot response from the concerned District Officers present during the Grievance Redressal Camp. He also gave on the spot directions to the concerned officers for time bound redressal of all the genuine public issues.
The DC asked the unemployed youth to come forward and take benefit from diverse Government self-employment schemes to earn a dignified livelihood for their brighter future. During the programme, GM DIC Reasi gave a detailed overview of PM Vishwakarma Scheme and AD Employment detailed about Tejaswani and MUMKIN schemes for self employment.
Addressing the public, the District Development Commissioner announced the commitment of timely completion of all pending development projects in the Reasi district.
