An analyst while talking to Early Times said, “The DPAP had appeared on the political arena of J&K with a bang as most of the Congress leaders and loyalists of former J&K chief minister had tendered their resignation from the grand old party and joined Azad. He said, “Azad during the past few months has made attempts to find alliance partners but it seems that nothing has clicked for him. It appears that that’s the reason for his party announcing that it would field its candidates from all the Lok Sabha seats in J&K.”
Pertinently, a DPAP spokesman on Thursday in a statement said, “The DPAP will contest all the five parliamentary seats in Jammu and Kashmir in the upcoming elections.”
He said, "We also want assembly, panchayat and municipal elections to be conducted at the earliest. Our activists are going to the people and making them aware about the policies and developmental agenda of the party.”
