Nadda likely to meet senior leaders separately today, discuss internal survey report

Jammu, January 6: Sunday’s visit of BJP’s national president is very crucial because J P Nadda is going to hold discussions with senior leaders on the basis of the internal survey conducted by the party to finalize candidates for the coming Lok Sabha elections.
Highly placed sources said that after addressing a meeting of senior leaders, Nadda is likely to meet some of them separately to get feedback about the performance of the sitting Lok Sabha members.
Apart from discussing the party’s position on Jammu-Reasi and Udhampur-Doda Lok Sabha, where the party has a strong base, Nadda will devise a strategy with party leaders to win at least one Lok Sabha seat from Kashmir Valley.
Sources said that earlier a senior leader was asked to work on the Anantnag Lok Sabha seat but now the party is seriously thinking of fielding a prominent Gujjar leader of Rajouri on this seat.

President of J&K unit of BJP Ravinder Raina on Saturday said that the national party president J P Nadda is reaching Jammu on Sunday on a daylong tour to discuss and finalize the party’s Lok Sabha poll strategy for Jammu and Kashmir.
Raina said that Nadda will address a meeting of the senior leaders of the party at Jammu in connection with the Lok Sabha elections.
Raina claimed that the BJP is planning to win all five Lok Sabha seats of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and the lone seat of the Ladakh UT.
Reports said Nadda will begin his tour by paying obeisance at the historic Raghunath temple in the heart of the city before chairing a meeting of senior members.
National General Secretary, incharge of J&K, Tarun Chugh will also attend the meeting along with both Member Parliaments from J&K namely Union Minister Jitendra Singh and Jugal Kishore Sharma, who have won Udhampur and Jammu seats twice for the party.
