J&K police officers engage in intensive training on leadership and management at SKPA

JAMMU, Jan 8: A two-day training program focusing on the "Concept of Leadership and Management in Police" kicked off at the academy today. The program, attended by 19 officers of the J&K Police ranging from Inspectors to SSsP, aims to enhance their leadership and management skills.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by Rakesh Sambyal, CPO, SKPA, who welcomed the participating officers on behalf of the Director, SKPA. In his inaugural address, Rakesh Sambyal shed light on the course's overview and objectives. The program is intricately designed to cover crucial aspects such as leadership science in the police force, effective management for improved policing, the role of management attitude and objectives in policing, the significance of motivation in conflict situations for police personnel, and the instrumental role of good leadership in achieving better and more effective policing.
Eminent guest faculties from various academia backgrounds have been invited to impart their insights and expertise, ensuring the training aligns with the desired objectives. The coordination of the course is overseen by Sh. Rakesh Sambyal, CPO, with support from ASI Rajinder Singh, a member of the faculty.
This training initiative reflects a proactive approach by the J&K Police to equip its officers with the necessary skills and knowledge, fostering effective leadership and management within the force. The program is expected to contribute significantly to enhancing the overall capabilities of the participating officers in their respective roles.
