Jammu, Jan 8: A day after organizing rally of newly appointed All India Congress Committee AICC J&K Incharge and former Union Minister Bharatsinh Solanki in Anantnag Congress announced coordinators for five Lok Sabha seats to give a message to both the National Conference and the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP).
Highly placed sources said that reception of Solanki and Ghulam Ahmed Mir intentionally organized a rally at Anantnag to stake claims on the Lok Sabha seat comprising portion of South Kashmir and Poonch and Rajouri districts of Jammu province.
Congress leadership has given green signal to the local leadership to start working on Anantnag Lok Sabha seat where Congress was runner-up in the 2019 Parliamentary elections.
Apart from Jammu-Reasi and Udhampu
Cong intentionally organized a rally at Anantnag to stake claims on LS seat.
Leadership has given a green signal to cadres to start reaching out to people.
In 2019, Cong ended up second in Anantnag.
Party announces coordinators for five J&K seats.
-Doda Lok Sabha seats Congress will also stake claim on Ladakh and Anantnag seats as part wants Lion’s Share in Lok Sabha elections.
In the recently held elections of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Kargil Congress emerged as a strong force. Similarly Congress is also a strong force in Leh as compared to the National Conference and the PDP so Congress has strong claim on Ladakh Lok Sabha seat.
Notably the Congress party on Sunday announced coordinators for five Lok Sabha seats of Jammu & Kashmir.
Reports said that Congress appointed Ghulam Nabi Monga coordinator for Baramulla Lok Sabha, Abdul Rashid Dar for Srinagar Parliamentary seat, Yogesh Sawhney for Anantnag-PoonchRajouri), Ravinder Sharma (Udhampur) and Naresh Gupta (Jammu) as coordinators for the polls.
