1/11/2024 11:31:50 PM

Early Times Report

REASI, Jan 11: A Grievances Redressal Camp was organized in Panchayat Kanthi, on the direction of District Development Commissioner Reasi Vishesh Mahajan, to address the concerns faced by the general public. This initiative marked the first of its kind, showcasing a commitment to reach out and assist people in the far-flung regions with limited connectivity.
The event saw the participation of SDM Dharmari and all sub-divisional officers, who dedicatedly listened to the grievances and issues raised by the people. Notably, the officers even travelled on foot for two hours to reach the camp due to the lack of road connectivity in the region. SDM Dharmari, as the chairman of the Block Diwas, attentively heard the public grievances and assured them of support in resolving their issues.
Several key demands were projected before the administration, prominently including augmentation of road infrastructure, implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission scheme, repair of Power transmission lines, adequate teaching staff in schools, and the construction of essential infrastructures like bridges and additional rooms for schools. The SDM Dharmari took note of each matter and pledged to address them effectively. He also assured the public that efforts would be made to rationalize the distribution of teaching staff and expedite the construction of crucial infrastructure, ensuring that no issue was overlooked. Furthermore, concerns related to pending payments, closure of work under various schemes, allocation of land to the landless, organization of Aadhar card update camps, and restoration of irrigation canals were also comprehensively discussed with the commitment to find prompt solutions. The initiative was met with high praise from the public, highlighting the significance of bringing governance and grievance redressal to their doorstep, particularly in regions that are often sidelined from such initiatives.
