Jammu, Jan 11: A crucial bill related to Jammu and Kashmir is will be passed in the last Parliament session before the general election as the BJP-led government at the Centre is going to grant Scheduled Tribe (ST) status to the Pahari ethnic tribe.
Although two crucial bills proposing the nomination of two Kashmiri Pandits including a woman and one Pakistan-occupied Jammu Kashmir (PoJK) refugee to the UT Legislative Assembly were passed in the Parliament in December, the Bill pertains to grant ST status to Pahari was not introduced for debate.
