Early Times Report

Jammu, Jan 14: Realizing that their future is bleak in the party, one after another youth leaders are quitting the Congress party.
The Latest in this series is former Union Minister Milind Deora who joined the Shiv Sena on Sunday in the presence of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde after quitting the Congress earlier in the day.
The former South Mumbai Lok Sabha MP joined the ruling party in a function in Varsha, the official residence of the chief minister, in the afternoon.
In a post on social media platform X, formerly Twitter, Deora had earlier announced his resignation from the Congress.
“Today marks the conclusion of a significant chapter in my political journey. I have tendered my resignation from the primary membership of the Congress, ending my family’s 55 year relationship with the party. I am grateful to all leaders, colleagues, and Karyakartas for their unwavering supp

rt over the years,” he said.
In the ever-evolving landscape of Indian politics, one significant trend that has emerged in recent times is the departure of young leaders from the Congress party. Once considered a bastion for emerging political talent, the Grand Old Party is witnessing the exit of dynamic and promising individuals. This trend raises questions about the party’s ability to retain and nurture its youthful leaders, and the potential implications for its future.
The lack of a clear and compelling ideological direction has also been a cause for concern among young leaders. In a rapidly changing political environment, where issues such as economic reforms, social justice, and youth empowerment take center stage, parties need a coherent and appealing ideology. The Congress party’s perceived ambiguity on crucial matters has left some young leaders feeling disconnected from the party’s core values.
