Thriving & sustainable economy symposium at GDC Samba

SAMBA, Jan 15: The Department of Commerce and Viksit Bharat committee of the SPPND Govt. Degree College, Samba organised a symposium on the topic "THRIVING & SUSTAINABLE ECONOMY " as an initiative of Viksit Bharat@2047 under the Patronage of Prof. (Dr.) Twinkle Suri, Principal of the college. The programme began with the welcome address delivered by Dr. Pooja, Head of the Department of Commerce. In total 12 students participated and expressed their views on Viksit Bharat @2047. They focused on sustainable economy and how economy can grow through entrepreneurship. Participants gained valuable insights into innovative business practices that promote both growth and sustainability. The event also facilitated networking opportunities, creating a supportive community of like-minded individuals committed to driving positive change in the business landscape. Overall, the symposium motivated students in playing a pivotal role in advancing the discourse on thriving and sustainable entrepreneurship thereby leaving a lasting impact on the attendees and the broader entrepreneurial community. This kind of participation will certainly help young minds in generating and contributing new ideas towards a sustainable and progressive economy.
Other faculty members present in the programme were Dr. Rashi Gupta, Convener, Viksit Bharat Committee, Co-convener, Dr. Seema Sharma, Dr. Sarabpreet Kour, Prof. Harjeet Kour and Prof Harpreet Kour. The whole programme was coordinated by Dr. Pooja, Prof. Rashmi Kumari and Prof. Rajni Bala. The proceedings of the event were conducted by Kasak Gupta of B.Com Sem. 1st.
