Grand celebration of 357th Parkash Utsav of Guru Gobind Singh Ji at held at Gurdwara Digiana Ashram

JAMMU, Jan 17: The 357th Parkash Utsav of the 10th Guru, Shri Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj, was joyously celebrated at Gurdwara Digiana Ashram in Jammu. The event was conducted under the guidance of Shriman Mahant Manjeet Singh Ji of Shiromani Dera Nangali Sahib Poonch.
A multitude of Sikh organizations from Jammu and Kashmir, including Sikh United Front J&K, Bhai Kanahya Nishkam Sewa Society J&K, Shiromani Akali Dal J&K, Sikh Najwan Sabhas, Sikh Welfare Society, Istri Akali Dal J&K, Gurdwara Local Committees, Member DGPC Jammu, and the Sangat from various walks of life, actively participated in the ceremony.
The atmosphere resonated with the soul-stirring recitations of Gurbani Shabads and Katha by Ragi Jathas, including Bhai Jabarjit Singh Ji Hazuri Ragi from Shri Darbar Sahib Amritsar, Bhai Giani Bachan Singh from Gurdwara Digiana Ashram Jammu, and Bhai Ranjit Singh Ji from UP Ashram Digiana. Additionally, Katha Vachaks such as Bhai Fatey Singh, Bhai Gurpreet Singh Ji Johal, Harmittar Singh, and Balwant Singh Katha Vahak R.S. Pura Jammu shed light on the life and teachings of Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj.
Addressing the gathering, S. Sudershan Singh Wazir, Chairman of Sikh United Front Jammu and Kashmir, emphasized the importance of Guru Gobind Singh Ji's teachings, particularly the five articles of faith (5 Ks) worn by Amritdhari Sikhs. He welcomed the decision of Shri RR Swain, DGP J&K, to classify drug dealers as narco-terrorists, expressing support for efforts to eradicate the drug menace from the region.
