| Jammu Police book notorious criminal under PSA | | |

Jammu, Jan 17: Police have booked a notorious criminal under Public Safety Act (PSA) in Jammu.
A police spokesman said that an information was received at PS City regarding one notorious criminal namely Flex Matoo S/o Vishal Matoo R/o Christan Colony Jammu who was absconding from his arrest.
On this special police team of PS City led by SHO PS City did strenuous efforts and finally arrested the above mentioned absconder. It is pertinent to mention here that a warrant of arrest under PSA 01 of 2024 Dated 15-01-2024 U/S 8(1) (A) J&K Public Safety Act- 1978 was also issued against the accused.
Also the said accused was habitual of indulging in criminal activities such as attempt to murder, thefts, snatching and various raids were conducted at different locations by Jammu Police and with the help of strenuous efforts the accused was finally arrested.
Details of the various cases accused was involved in are as under:
FIR No. 91/2019 u/s 341/323/34 IPC, FIR No. 46/2021 u/s 341/323 IPC, FIR No. 61/2021 u/s 341/323/383/336/34/506 IPC, FIR No. 66/2021 u/s 307/341/323/34 IPC, FIR No. 56/2023 u/s 341/323/382/34 IPC 4/25 Arms Act.
The accused criminal was creating nuisance in the society and his arrest has provided a sigh of relief to general public. People have appreciated the efforts of Jammu Police.
Finally today the warrant was executed and the accused was sent to Central Jail Kot Bhalwal, Jammu. |
