| Police recover 40 grams of heroin | | |

Jammu, Jan 19: Continuing its drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse, Jammu Police achieved major success by recovering 40 grams of heroin from one drug peddler in the area under the jurisdiction of PS Bahu Fort Jammu.
A police team of PS Bahu Fort led by SHO PS Bahu Fort assisted by I/C PP Narwal while on naka duty at Narwal area in the jurisdiction of PS Bahu Fort rounded up a suspected person later identified as Sonu S/O Bodh Raj R/O Valmiki Colony Jammu. During search, 40 grams of heroin got recovered from his possession.
In this regard, case FIR No. 16/2024 U/S 8/21/25 of NDPS Act stands registered at PS Bahu Fort got and accused got arrested.
It is pertinent to mention that the accused is a notorious criminal and already has 03 other cases registered against him at PS Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
